El filme de ciencia ficción, “Avatar”, la sigue rompiendo. Junto a la cinta de guerra “The Hurt Locker”, encabeza la lista de principales nominaciones a los próximos Oscar con nueve postulaciones respectivamente, incluyendo la de mejor película y director para James Cameron y Kathryn Bigelow.
La española, Penélope Cruz, en tanto, recibió su tercera postulación para los premios de la Academia. Y por Latinoamérica, Argentina (“El Secreto de Sus Ojos”) y Perú (“La teta asustada”) compiten en la categoría de mejor película extranjera.
En el anuncio de la lista de nominados, también figuran “District 9″; la comedia animada “Up”, la saga de la Segunda Guerra Mundial “Inglourious Basterds”; el drama de un futbolista americano “The Blind Side”, el relato sobre la recesión “Up in The Air”, el drama de los años 60 “A Serious Man” y las historias de adolescentes en “An Education” y “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire”.
Entre los actores nominados figuran Sandra Bullock por “The Blind Side” y Jeff Bridges por “Crazy Heart”. También compiten por el premio a mejor actor, George Clooney como adicto a la vida de viajero frecuente en “Up in the Air” y Morgan Freeman como el líder sudafricano Nelson Mandela en “Invictus”, Colin Firth como un profesor gay de luto en “A Single Man” y Jeremy Renner como un experto en bombas en Irán en “The Hurt Locker”.
La entrega de los Oscar, en su versión número 82, se realizará el domingo 7 de marzo en el Teatro Kodak de Los Angeles y contará con la animación de Steve Martin y Alec Baldwin.
